You might’ve heard about the fantastic Hot & Steamy festival that will be hitting the streets of Port Douglas in February 2020… it’s going to be a wonderful event that you don’t want to miss!
This spectacular LGBT+ festival will take place in the heart of Port Douglas from Friday 14th – Monday 17th Feb at various locations throughout town. There will be plenty of food, cocktails and dancing – and we can’t forget about the trip to the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef!
FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
Here is the incredible line up for the Hot & Steamy main events in Tropical North Queensland.
Friday 14th
12pm-3pm: There’s no better place to start off the Hot & Steamy shenanigans than the extraordinary Salsa Bar and Grill for a long lunch! Anyone who has visited Salsa will know it’s the best place in town for pleasurable food and drinks in an ambient setting.
5pm-11pm: Party your way to the picturesque Sugar Wharf overlooking the Dickson Inlet for a fun-filled evening at the T-Dance! An unbelievable location, plenty of talented DJs (Just Andy, Thirsty & DJ Vincible) and a remarkable night for the books. What more could you ask for?
11pm onwards: It’s time for the after party at Jimmy Rum’s; one of the top cocktail bars in Port Douglas. Be there or be square – and don’t worry, your ticket includes an impressive cocktail on arrival!
Saturday 15th
10am-5pm: Get in touch with nature with an unforgettable day trip on a Calypso private charter! Don’t miss your chance to see the Great Barrier Reef when you’re holidaying on it’s doorstep. We’re sure it’ll be one of the best choices of the weekend.
9pm-late: Head on down to the Port Douglas Yacht Club for the festival’s main party event: Hello Sailor! Melbourne DJ Scott Anderson will serenade you all night in the utmost of tropical atmospheres. It’s here where you can let your hair down and dance for hours and hours.
Sunday 16th
11am-1:30pm: Prepare yourself for a jam-packed day of festivities at the fabulous Choo Choo’s at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina. The brunch time frame allows for either some early morning exploring or a sleep in – you decide.
1:30pm-2pm: Don’t miss the ‘Gay Train!’ All aboard the iconic Bally Hooley Steam Train to the Soaked Pool Party – you’ll love every minute of the scenic ride; the views are astonishing.
2pm-7pm: The final hoorah is the Soaked Pool Party at Niramaya where there will be an abundance of tasty food and drinks. Poolside time is precious in the balmy Port Douglas weather, and this event will be double the fun! There’s talk of a special guest performer, so keep your eyes peeled.
