Situated on the magnificent coastal drive between the popular destinations of Palm Cove and Port Douglas. Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and native wildlife in Tropical North Queensland. Set in the foothills of the MacAlister Range, in a World Heritage listed area, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is home to a range of habitat types including melaleuca wetlands, riverine rainforest and eucalypt woodland.
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures provides an innovative approach to viewing and interacting with wildlife, enabling visitors to become immersed in a natural environment with safety. A series of timber boardwalks provide elevated viewing of wildlife as visitors journey through a range of natural habitats.
What’s Included
The admission price includes access to the wildlife displays and natural areas, all wildlife presentations, at least one boat ride on Hartley’s Lagoon, various self-guided walks, and free wildlife information sheets. In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational requirements, we reserve our right to restrict access to some areas and amend boat cruise times to ensure visitor safety.

Boat Cruises – Your boat time will be allocated upon your arrival. The duration of the boat cruise is approximately to 20 minutes.

n between shows or instead of a show, you are welcome to explore the 2500 metres of boardwalks and pathways winding through Melaleuca Wetlands, Eucalypt Woodland and Riverine rainforest, enjoying a wide variety of native and exotic animals.
All wildlife exhibits open to public viewing including the Komodo Dragon, Alligators, Cassowaries, Wombats, Koalas, Emus, Lizards, Kangaroos and Wallabies. Capacity limits apply to the Gallery of Living Art – Reptile Display.
Opening Hours
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is open from 8.30 am through to 5.00 pm every day, except Christmas Day and one day in June due to the closure of the Captain Cook Highway for Cairns Iron Man event. ANZAC Day trading is subject to state government approval.
